- 1 Tbsp. buttermilk powder (you can leave this out if you don’t have any on hand)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 tsp. vinegar
- 5 Tbsp. water
- 6 pluots (small, you could also use plums, or a mixture of plums and apricots)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. amaretto
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch (dissolved in 1 Tablespoon water)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- coarse sugar (for sprinkling, if desired)
