- 1 cup unsweetened plain soy milk (or other plant milk)
- 3/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch (or potato starch)
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. salt (or to taste)
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. Dijon mustard (any prepared mustard will do)
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric
- 1 pinch cayenne powder (to taste)
- black pepper (to taste)
- 1 cup panko (choose a brand with no added oil)
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves

Added roasted carrots and onions really gave it depth I’m sure it would have been good without it though the sauce was simple but flavorful and baking it with panko really gave it great crunch
