- Prepare yellow cake mix as directed on the box.
- Spray 9 x 13 x 2 pan with Pam.
- Pour cake batter into a 9 x 13 x 2 pan.

Made this as directed and the ricotta portion was ridiculously wet; literally liquid. Added this to the cake mix portion (as directed) and it had to bake for nearly two hours and it’s still damp and mushy in the ricotta part. The taste is good if you can get past the texture and wet, mushy consistency. There must be a better way to utilize the ingredients and make a tasty dessert. “Prepare cake mix as directed on box” I believe is a mistake because that added three additional eggs, oil and water per the box instructions. There was enough liquid in the four eggs and ricotta to have incorporated the dry cake mix and would have resulted in a better finished product.
