- 3/4 cup cilantro (roughly chopped)
- ground black pepper (freshly)

- 4 chicken breast halves (medium sized, boneless and skinless)
- 1 white onion (medium, cut into 1/2-inch slices)
- 2 avocados (ripe)
- 2 romaine (hearts, sliced crosswise at 1/2-inch thick)
- 1/3 cup queso añejo (grated Mexican, or other garnishing cheese like Romano or Parmesan, optional)
