  • 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar ({vegan})
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk (the canned kind, not the milk substitute kind)
  • 1/2 cup aquafaba (aka, the liquid from a can of chickpeas. Use unsalted chickpeas and reserve the chickpeas for another recipe, like this Beautiful Beet Hummus.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (plus more for serving)
  • 1/8 teaspoon turmeric (this is for colour)
  • rum (optional, some)
