Description
Baked rice makes a wonderful accompaniment to meat, poultry, and fish, or as part of a vegetarian meal with roasted or braised greens. Here, the rice is first sauteed wtih garlic and olive oil, then water is added and the covered baking dish is transerred to the oven fo allow the rice to absorb the liquid and become tender, rather than being cooked on the stovetop. Try it the next time you prepare rice and see if it doesn't become your go-to method.
