- 100 grams softened butter (+ extra for greasing)
- 200 grams caster sugar
- 1 large egg (at room temperature)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 130 grams custard (thick homemade or ready store-bought)
- 170 grams rhubarb (washed, trimmed and cut into 7 cm pieces)
- 5 Tbsp. custard
- 4 sugar cubes (crushed)
- icing sugar
- whipped cream (if desired, optional)
