- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp. canela
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup buttermilk (I never have buttermilk on hand so just add 1 Tbsp of vinegar or lemon juice to a cup of regular milk and let it sit for 5 minutes)
- 3 1/2 cups rhubarb
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp. canela
- 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1/2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
- 250 grams rhubarb stalks (cut into small cubes)
- 100 grams caster sugar (caster sugar is superfine sugar which dissolves easier)
- 100 grams water
- 1 vanilla pod
