- 1/2 cup skim milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tsp. vanilla (I've always judged Ina Garten for saying "good quality vanilla" but she's right.)
- 1/4 tsp. salt (the reason everyone loves my oatmeal)
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 2 tsp. flax seed meal (ground)
- 2 tsp. wheat germ
- 1 cup mixed berries (this week I used blueberries and strawberries)
- stevia (or brown sugar to taste depending on ripeness of berries)
