- water (Boiled, – double the volume of lentils)
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tsp. cumin seeds
- 2 onions (chopped)
- 350 grams vine tomatoes (chopped into cm cubes)
- 1 tsp. ginger powder
- 2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
- 2 green chillies (deseeded and finely chopped)
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 1 tsp. Garam Masala
- 3 Tbsp. tomato puree
- 1 handful fresh coriander (chopped)
- salt (to taste)
- 200 grams white flour (Doves farm plain)
- 100 mL water (you may not need all of this)
- oil (for brushing over roti if desired)
- flour (Extra, for rolling)
