Chinese red bean paste is almost always smooth and contains additional oil. - 3.5 liters filtered water (divided into 1.2 L + 1.5 L + 0.25x3)
- 133 grams coconut sugar (+/- 1 cup)
- 266 grams pitted Medjool dates (+/- 25 no, blended to a paste)
- 1 batch red bean paste (Japanese Style, Anko,, recipe above)
- 70 grams coconut oil
- 1/2 batch red bean paste (Chinese Style, smooth,, recipe above; preferably date-sweetened - see Notes)
- 48 grams almond butter (activated)
- 16 grams cacao powder
- 15 grams butter (cacao, melted)
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp. Himalayan salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
