- 1 onion (chopped and layers separated)
- 1,050 grams bell peppers (different colors cut in strips, about 2 cups)
- 1 clove garlic (sliced)
- 1/2 inch ginger (sliced)
- 1/4 cup cilantro (or parsley chopped)
- 2 Tbsp. canola oil
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (I use low sodium)
- 1 Tbsp. dark soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. rice vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 1 tsp. black pepper (powder)
- 1 Tbsp. sherry (Shaoxing, optional, mirin or sake works too)
