Probably the best Tuna Casserole I've made to date, loved the grape tomatoes burst of flavour, and yes I added extra.
I altered the recipe to suit pea loving hubby to half the celery quantity adding peas, but will leave the full amount of celery next time as this recipe is most suitable for adding what ever additions you would like. Another was parmesan cheese mixed with 2 day old bread crumbs for the top with which I drizzled a little melted butter for a crispier outcome, and as I did not have celery soup this time around I used Mushroom.
I also didn't place the skillet in the oven as the oven is too small and I prefer a deeper casserole so just transferred all into a suitable sized dish.
As the casserole was deeper than the skillet I cooked at 380F (180C) till browned and bubbling, maybe 30 mins. Turning up the heat towards the end for browning.
Even though it sounds like I toyed too much with the recipe, I didn't really, and it is always going to be my go to recipe, being so versatile.
Thank-you 'Around My Family Table', it's a winner!
