I made this Chili using 2 lbs of grass fed beef & omitted the beer adding other ingredients instead. I added 1 tbspn of organic unsweetened cocoa powder & 1/2 cup black coffee. Additionally, cayenne pepper, Chile pepper flakes, 1 squeeze of liquid Stevia & used 2 cans of small red beans, so to say I tweaked the recipe, is an understatement! I love to cook & research different recipes, to then put my spin on it & make it my own…So happy I did! It came out delicious & my family licked the bowls clean. This one went in my recipe book! I’m def. making this again!

I made this originally by the recipe ... second time I made a few changes - I increased spices by 50 % ... used Guinness beer in place of light beer ... used 2T of molasses for taste ... let simmer longer to reduce liquid further ... better for my tastes - Guinness made it more “malty and heavier” ... I like chili spicer ... molasses complements the Guinness

needed more salt but overall was delicious. we added fresh jalepeño peppers for extra spice.
