- 400 grams chickpeas ([14oz])
- 2 onion (medium, finely chopped)
- 2 large garlic cloves (crushed)
- 1 liter vegetable stock ([1.75 pints / US 4 cups])
- 400 mL light coconut milk (can of, [14 fl oz])
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg (freshly)
- 1 tsp. chilli (ground, according to taste)
- 2 limes
