- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar (firmly-packed)
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice (instead of the ginger, cloves and nutmeg)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (very cold, cut into small pieces, see note about COLD ingredients)
- 1/2 cup pumpkin (canned solid-packed)
- 1/3 cup cold milk
- 1 egg (cold, beaten)
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 1 cup sugar (powdered, confectioner's)
- 1 Tbsp. salted caramel sauce (homemade - easy recipe by baker by nature or store bought is fine)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
