This turned out great! Loved it! A couple caveats… I didn’t have gelatin so I subbed a Tbs of tapioca flour which made it the consistency of pudding instead of custard. This is a good tip for anyone wanting to make a parfait. Also I used 2x amount of orange zest as a personal preference and oh my! The flavor! I simply used a tsp of pumpkin pie spice which simplified the process and gave it great flavor. I now have the gelatin so can’t wait to make it again as a custard. This is going to be a new go-to fall treat for me and the fam. Hubby and daughter loved it too. Get creative! This recipe is a great base for endless possibilities. I’m thinking ginger.

I thought it would be like pumpkin pie filling, but it was not. I ended up doubling honey/maple syrup amount but it still wasn’t sweet enough to taste like pie. It had a rather bland flavor.
