- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. parsley
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1/4 tsp. rosemary
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 2 tsp. seasoning (Montreal Chicken, optional but it does add great flavor)
- 3 russet potatoes (large, cut into 1” cubes, skin on or off, your choice)
- 1 cup yellow onion (chopped)
- 1 cup pork (chicken or vegetable stock)
- 4 Tbsp. butter (unsalted)
- 4 Tbsp. milk
- 4 Tbsp. flour

I’ve made this twice. First time I made it I followed the instructions exactly. That one would have rated 1. Potatoes dissolved and pork was over cooked after 15 minutes.
This time I left out the Montreal seasoning, coated the pork and seared it, then cooked the onions and deglazed with the chicken stock. Left out potatoes completely. 10 minutes with a 10 minute natural release. It was a little peppery I think because of the sear. Or the seasoning wasn’t quite as well distributed. Either way much better than the original attempt.
I’m giving myself a 4 and the original a 1 and rounding up to 3.
