At last. A 10 star recipe! (Only 5 stars possibe) I try many different recipes that sound wonderful, with high ratings. They turn out to be a flop to me, as we all have different tastes. If you love potato soup, you'll love this one. Easy to make, delightful to enjoy. Make for dinner, have a nice slice of sourdough on the side.

Lacks measurements, luckily I’ve cooked two or three hundred batches and made to my family’s taste.

I love this recipe. Like others have said, I add carrots, celery, and corn for a bit more flavor but yum!!

I made some changes as I always do with recipes including adding more things like celery, carrots and garlic along with extra seasoning to be a loaded potato soup. I used milk and cream and more chicken stock. I will be making again!

I used half and half instead of the evaporated milk and the butter because I didn’t use bacon. I added the base seasoning as suggested as it definitely needed more spices. The recipe is easy and I will make it again.

So yummy! After reading some other reviews, added about 1/4 cup tiny diced celery and shredded carrots to bump up the flavor, turned out great.

This was amazing soup! I added rosemary, thyme and fresh parsley, other than that followed the recipe. This will become a new staple for us!

So I made this tonight for me and my bf. To keep it short it was a great recipe… HOWEVER, it does need a great bit of help in the flavor department. I added some extras after reading tons of comments on this recipe. What I added that made it really good: about 1/4 a cup (or a bit more, to your taste, just keep adding and stirring little by little till you like it) of better than bouillon chicken, about 2 tspns of rosemary, about 2 tspns of thyme, about a 1/4 of a cup of regular old bay seasoning (trust me, it’s amazing! If you’re skeptical just add little by little to your liking), also added about 4-5 thinly cut pieces of celery which did a lot for the texture of the dish. Add all these ingredients while your potato’s are still cooking so that everything has time to sift together nicely. Also I used whole milk and the sour cream, I followed the rest of the recipe exactly with the exception of my add-ins! Will be making this again for our family night!

I used turkey bacon and skim milk, added about 1/2 c. chopped celery, carrots and frozen corn. …loved it!!!

The recipe was a good base but it was pretty bland I would add some celery, carrots, and more seasoning. I also mashed my potatos only a little to give it the consistency I wanted instead of using yogurt all and all still a good recipe.

Turned out pretty good, but I put my own spin on it. Added broccoli and more broth.

It turned out so good! I mixed the flour with a half cup of the milk in the recipe and added it after the potatoes cooked. Was a total winner at my house!

I haven’t ate it yet, I cranked up the servings for 10 people but it looks and smells delicious though. Added some diced celery, rosemary, thyme, grated robusto cheese and a smidge of extra butter.
