We make this every year for Christmas Eve dinner, along with boiled potatoes w/cream sauce, lingonberries and red cabbage & apples. I am a third generation in my family to continue this Swedish tradition. The 4th generation is learning and assisting now! It's so good! I would recommend adding more seasoning as the casings tend to soak them up and leave the meat a little bland. Leave about 1-2" of loose casing at the end of each sausage link to allow for expansion. Prick each sausage a lot with a fork. Do not hard boil, but rather a slow gentle simmer so they won't burst.
