So good! I’m Azorean Portuguese so I tweaked it a bit… Portuguese style! I added olive oil to the soup pot first, added all the ingredients except the pasta and beans and sauteed it with Portuguese crushed red pepper for a kick…. I also minced the garlic cloves to maximize its flavor. I don’t use bay leaves which is not used in Azorean Portuguese cooking. Once sautéed, I added the water and broth… CAUTION… the ratio of water is too much for the ingredients so I cut down the suggested water amount to achieve the density that we prefer… the sauté process adds a lot of flavor… Yummy! 😋
