  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons promise buttery spread
  • 2 granny smith apple
  • 1 sweet onion
  • 1 1/2 cups carrots
  • 2 tablespoons firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (white, or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries

    Directions

    1. In 12-inch nonstick skillet, melt 1-1/2 tablespoons Promise® Buttery Spread over medium-high heat and cook chops, turning once, 6 minutes or until done. Remove chops and keep warm.
    2. In same skillet, melt remaining 1/2 tablespoon Spread and cook apples and onion, stirring occasionally, 4 minutes. Add carrots and cook 2 minutes. Stir in sugar and vinegar. Reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Stir in cranberries and any juice from chops. Serve chops over slaw.
