- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup shortening (cut into small cubes)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (and 3 tablespoons, cold, cut into small cubes)
- 3/4 cup cold water (and 1 tablespoon)
- 1/2 lb. ground pork
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1/4 sweet onion (finely diced)
- 1/2 cup rutabaga (peeled and finely diced)
- 1/2 cup russet potatoes (peeled and finely diced)
- 1 Tbsp. thyme (minced)
- 1 Tbsp. chives (thinly sliced)
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 large egg

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Combine flour and salt and whisk together.
- Cut shortening and butter into flour mixture until evenly distributed and the mixture is a mealy texture.
