- 1/2 cup glutinous rice (See note)
- 1/2 cup sliced shallots (thinly)
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup fish sauce
- 2 scallions (thinly sliced)
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves (roughly chopped, preferably Thai)
- 1/2 cup cilantro leaves (roughly chopped fresh, and tender stems)
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves (roughly chopped)
- 2 Tbsp. Thai chilis (ground dry, more or less to taste)
- 1/4 cup lime juice (from about 4 limes)
- 2 Tbsp. palm sugar (see note)
