- 250 grams butter (softened)
- 140 grams caster sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 300 grams plain flour
- 500 grams icing sugar (Box of Royal, I used this one by Silver Spoon)
- 50 mL cold water (in a jug – you may or may not need all of this water)
- red gel food colouring (Gel food colour is much better and gives a more vivid colour than Liquid)
- icing (Black writing, Again, I used Silver Spoon)
