- 3/4 cup champagne (sweet, or bubbly wine, I used Barefoot Bubbly, and wished it had been sweeter)
- 5 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 3 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp. extract (raspberry)
- food coloring gel (pink, as desired for coloring both cupcakes and frosting)
- sprinkles (!, I used edible star glitter and pearls—love them!!!)
