Perfect
I made it just like the recipe… Only modification was adding some additional spices

It was perfect! Used grass fed beef and it was done to perfection.
I actually had two 14 oz steaks to make, so I added a bit more ingedients to have enough to do both.
Will definitley make this again.

This steak is juicy, medium rare and so good! I added some Brussels sprouts to the pan and cooked in the seasoning from the steak! Did not have to add any seasoning! Will definitely cook this again!

the cook time it gives is absolutely on point! But in my case, my cast iron doesn't get hot enough to perfectly sear a steak, I find it's better for me to pre heat the oven and at the same time, put my cast iron on high heat.
And I used beef fat as oil instead of vegetable oil, the flavor is undescribable! (pic is USDA choice I picked up to try this recip, definitely ready to move on to better meat with this)

Easy, delicious, would make again. Be prepared for smoke. Even though we used vegetable oil, still decent amount of smoke.

Good recipe but I learned today that hmm not I’m not a fan of using thyme on my steak

I prepared this as an alternative to a filet. Ribeye has excellent flavor and the cuts were good. Turned out great and the butter made it even better.

I have an iron skillet lid for my iron skillet so I cooked mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, and tomatoes, and added them to the steak and covered for the last five minutes.
