Great recipe, with lots of room for variations. I had some leftover peppermint candy powdered sugar from a cookie recipe I'd made earlier; I used this to tweak the recipe a bit. I added chopped walnuts & a teaspoon of pure peppermint extract. I garnished the brownies with some extra chocolate chips & baked them for 30 minutes. When they cooled, I sifted the peppermint powdered sugar over the brownies, which made for a festive look. My husband loved them. Will definitely make these again. Next time I might omit the peppermint & add almond extract, PB powder, & chopped peanuts or almonds.
