These were FABULOUS! I am not a fan of pecan pie as I find it way too sweet for my taste. However, my hubby loves it, so I compromised with this recipe for one of our Thanksgiving desserts. The only thing I did was to add about 1/4 cup of honey bourbon (Southern pecan pie recipes always use bourbon!) which added moistness. My husband, who is not a bourbon fan, actually loved them so much he said we need them again for Christmas! I am making triple batches to give out as gifts as well. Thanks for sharing this one!
Hey 3 years ago
I had problems with the chocolate covering and had to add extra maple syrup to get the filling into a ball.
