  • 1 pear (large ripe but still firm, 250g whole weight, cored and diced in small pieces, I don’t peel them)

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (or baking margarine, softened at room temperature, don’t add extra salt if using margarine)

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
