- ice cream (Instructions are for using a Cuisinart, maker, the freezer bowl must be chilled overnight; otherwise, follow your ice cream maker's instructions.)
- 3 cups pears (very ripe juicy, peeled and cubed)
- pear halves (OR... a jar of Trader Joe's, in white grape juice, my favorite to use.)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 10 grated nutmeg
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 2 Tbsp. coconut liqueur (Malibu Carribbean rum)
- 1 cup cream (half & half, use heavy cream if you prefer)
- coconut (Optional - Shredded sweet, garnish for a snowy effect)
