- 600 grams chicken breasts (a little over a pound, cut into large chunky strips)
- 1 onion (large, sliced into rounds)
- 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
- 2 bell peppers (I used a red and a green, but any colour are fine)
- 250 grams mushrooms (half a pound, sliced, I used brown mushrooms)
- 2 tsp. paprika (I used smoked)
- 1 Tbsp. tomato paste (concentrated)
- 1 Tbsp. cornflour (cornstarch)
- 300 mL chicken stock (10 fl. ounces / 1¼ cups)
- 3/4 cup soured cream
- salt
- pepper
- chopped parsley (a sprinkle of fresh, optional)
- rice (optional – bread works well too)
