- 1 lemon (lime can be substituted, plus wedges for garnish)

I recently went to a restaurant with trout piccata on the menu I decided to look up a recipe to replicate at home. Delicious results at home! Quite easy. Just like a chicken or veal piccata but trout instead! This recipe is a keeper!

This turned out great. It was quick easy and flavorful. I added fresh thyme to the butter and capers. i didn't have parsley or white wine. That would have made it even better. I also sauted shallots in the butter and added a little garlic powder to the salt pepper and flour mixture It turned out better than expected. I will make this again. I used rainbow trout

This is a wonderful recipe. Our trout was exceptional and the recipe was over the top. My wife is still moaning about briny capers and lemon with the beautiful pink trout. Can’t wait to try it with a nice piece of salmon.
