A nice recipe to work from. Didn't have asafoetida on hand so I chucked in some onion. Unfortunately I chickened out with the chilli and only put in half a green chilli. It added so much flavour that I'd do the two next time. Otherwise, the calorie count on here is very off. Before even adding any oil, it was about 250Cal per serve.

Very yummy, i made exactly the same receipe but i have mixed the dals- Masoor and Tur dal in equal quantities.
