SO GOOD! Had to calculate how many cups 10 ounces of bread was (turns out to be 8 cups). Didn’t add the peanuts and baked it for the full 45 min on the second bake and didn’t add the second layer of jam. It turned out too runny but I’m considering adding an extra 2 cups of bread into a larger pan, maybe that really deep and square casserole dish I have, to balance it out. Enjoyed with some heavy cream. Would also taste great topped with vanilla ice cream. I’m I tiny bit conflicted on whether or not to add more jam to the middle layer next time but I would like to try it with raspberries instead of strawberries. If I do I will have to add maybe 3 cups of bread.
