    My orange chicken turned out very delicious but nothing similar to the photo of the recipe. It didn’t become as crispy and the mixture run out (evaporated) half way, so I had to make another mixture. Still tasty and healthy

    Mine turned out fabulous. Tasted just like chinese take out. I doubled everything so I would have leftovers and double frying isn't necessary as Pioneer Woman says in the instructions. I tweaked the sauce a little with my intuition, I always use lots of garlic about 3-4 cloves for this, and a good amount of ginger 1 1/2 tablespoons. Sauce thickened up enough to where I didn't need to add cornstarch but it simmered for a good while; probably about 10-15 mins. I also added BBQ sauce and onions in the sauce. It was perfect. Chicken was perfectly tempura-d. Lol. Better than takeout (and hopefully healthier).     So disappointed. It’s a lot of work to double fry your chicken, and with just egg whites and corn starch, there was barely any kind of coating or crunch. Plus...if you follow the recipe, you end up with literally 2 tablespoons of sauce. This recipe makes me feel like takeout is WORTH EVERY PENNY!

    This turned out ok. Wasn't amazing. Chicken was tender but the sauce had trouble thickening and didn't taste much like traditional orange chicken from take-out.

    This was great! My family loved it! Sauce thickened a little too much so I diluted with more orange juice. Thank you for the recipe it's a keeper.

    Love, love, loved this recipe!!! Who needs takeout when you have this baby on deck?! I did make a little extra sauce and I didn't regret it.
