- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk (full-fat)
- 3/4 cup butterscotch chips (I buy one 11 ounce bag, and use half for the cake, and half for the frosting)
- 3 Tbsp. butter (real)
- 3/4 cup butterscotch chips
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 4 Tbsp. milk (as needed for spreading consistency)
- 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
