- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (coarsely, optional)
- cream cheese (frosting)
- 6 oz. cream cheese (at room temperature)
- 6 Tbsp. unsalted butter (at room temperature)
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups sugar (sifted confectioners’)
- walnut halves (or pieces, for decorating)
