- 3 cups bread flour (or all-purpose flour plus 4 teaspoons vital wheat gluten, which is what I used)
- 1 cup oatmeal (I used regular, 5-minute cooking oats)
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 1/4 tsp. active dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp. malted milk powder (optional)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter (melted)
- 1 1/2 cups water (warm, about 120 degrees F)
- 1 cup dried apricots (chopped into ½ cm pieces)
- 1 cup sliced almonds (I used dry toasted from Trader Joe’s)
