  • 1 package cake mix (ZATARAIN'S® Crab)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 pound crabmeat (lump or backfin)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

    Directions

    1. Mix Crab Cake Mix, water, mayonnaise and Creole Mustard in large bowl until well blended. Add crabmeat; toss gently to mix. Refrigerate 30 minutes. Shape into 2-inch crab cakes
    2. Heat 1/4 cup of the oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Carefully add crab cakes, a few at a time
    3. Fry 4 minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towels. Repeat with remaining crab cakes, adding remaining oil as necessary.
