Turned out great! Made it in the air fryer with 1 tbsp canola oil. Used less cayenne in the marinade and made a spicy pour-over sauce from butter and pickle juice and spices, so the kids could have it without, and it was a hit with everyone.

i loved this recipe & everyone ate it all up! had to use canola oil instead of sunflower oil & 2% milk, but with lemon juice in place of buttermilk. it was on par with the hot chicken places i’ve been to in nashville!
