Good. For tomato I used diced tomatoes, sauce, and tomatoes we grew. The rest except only 1 tsp salt, I kept the same. No complaints: we like garlic and onion.

Excellent, added a bit of red wine for body and that brought good extra flavor in.

This sauce is wow!! So good I just don’t use meat and I make my own meatballs but oh it is Italian angels singing in your mouth!!

Great recipe. Used ground turkey and 6oz of tomato paste. I dont care for my sauce to be too thick.

Very delicious and fairly easy to make! I halved the recipe, and it still made a lot of sauce.

Good stuff. Added sauted mushrooms and substituted bison for hamburger. Really good and easy recipe that is ready in about an hour and a half. Thanks!

Ahhhmazing!!!! I didn’t have the diced or crushed tomatoes so added more tomatoe sauce, didn’t want to make a trip to the store. Also added in mushrooms. It was delicious. I will definitely be trying as is maybe next week with company 😊

Great! The only thing I changed is I puréed the sauce before putting ground meat in that’s the only way the kid will eat sauce.

This was delicious! I used ground Italian sausage for the meat and a smaller can of paste than called for but as for the rest I did as noted (and finalized with taste) and it was VERY flavorful. Boyfriend gave many compliments. Oh! Also, I used brown sugar rather than white! Def keeping this one!

A little to sweet but overall really good. I would suggest not putting the sugar.

We love this spaghetti sauce and now my grand daughter is making it almost by herself she is 6! She gets so excited when we are going to make spaghetti!

I (kind of sadly) had to shelf my Aunt Isabel's spaghetti sauce recipe--my go-to for years--for this one. My husband begs for this sauce, even during the summer : )

Turned out great the second time I made it. The first time I didn't have enough beef, and it threw off the whole thing. Perfect texture!

My family LOVES this!! My kids are SO picky, but they ask me to make this sauce at least once a week

I just made this for dinner tonight and OMG! it was delicious!! I only used 1 can of crushed tomatoes and cut out the other 28oz can (personal preference.) I also added just a tad bit more of the red flakes to have more of a kick and even out the sugar!

I tried this recipe a couple of years for the 1st and loved it. I commented after because it’s so similar to the one my Granny made except I use diced & stewed tomatoes because she made it that way & we prefer to have chunky tomatoes. I made it the 1st time I cooked for my husband over 39yrs ago when we were dating & know it played a role in winning him over. I’ve made it many times since then. I do want to WARN y’all there is a DOWNSIDE to this recipe...when my family and friends know I’m making it they all want some!! I usually double or triple it but I have even quadrupled it so I can share & freeze some for my husband and I for later. When there’s none in the freezer that’s my sign that it’s time to make more. When I ask my 2 oldest grandchildren what they want me to cook for them their 1st choice is my pot roast but this is a close 2nd. I LOVE seeing my family at my table enjoying it and their beautiful faces (especially the little ones) covered in the sauce...lol. It’s an easy, delicious sauce. If you’ve never made a homemade sauce...I definitely recommend you try this one.

I’ve made this a few times and alter it differently each time based on what I have on hand. I don’t use meat because I’m plant based but I made it for 5 guests tonight and it was a hit! This will continue to be my go-to recipe.

Very hearty and delicious! Skipped the red pepper flakes and onion; added more sugar and a bay leaf. Used leftovers for stuffed shells the next day!
