This dish was really good. Made it with a heavy 1 lb. of shrimp but made the full sauce recipe. Perfect amount for three servings. Flavor was spot on, some sweet and some heat. I keep dehydrated minced ginger around since I can’t seem to use up fresh before it goes bad. I soaked the ginger with the red pepper flakes in a bit of oil for a couple hours to soften it up before incorporating into the sauce with the garlic. Worked out great.

Excellent! Tastes like take out! I reduced the amount of brown sugar and red pepper flakes. I also mixed about 1T of cornstarch with a little water to thicken the sauce. Perfect! We loved it! I will definitely make this again!

The taste itself was delicious of the shrimp, and that’s that I was missing a few things like the green onion, red flakes, and ginger. Wish it gave a little more instructions on how much corn starch to put, as I’m still learning to cook and need very specific details 😅 The sauce didn’t thicken up as much as I thought it would, but over all delicious and would make again!

Would cook sauce longer to make it more thick but it’s good as liquid too
Would throw in more veggies next time too.

Great, it was yummy. Only thing that I did slow was add the oil and water together

My husband said it was better than a steak. I made this for 2 so used half the shrimp but the full recipe for the sauce and green onions. They mention the cornstarch but gave no amount. I used 1 tablespoon with the shrimp (remember I only cooked half the quantity in the recipe) and added 1 tablespoon to the ginger, garlic and red pepper flakes and the sauce was the correct thickness. It could have different additional vegetables with it but we made an Asian salad instead. All and all a great dinner.

Delicious! I added Japanese breadcrumbs and cornstarch to make the shrimp crispy. I also added a bit of cornstarch to the sauce to thicken it. Yummy!

This was really good. like others, i only used half the brown sugar. It would have been way too sweet otherwise. If you dont like spicy, use half of the red pepper. The ingredients are missing corn starch which you use to to coat the shrimp. It doesn't give good directions on the amount of oil to use. I just used 2 tablespoons in the sauce.
