- 1 Tbsp. cocoa powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 Tbsp. glucose
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cream
- chocolate cake (: 9 x 13 inch slice tin, 20 x 30 cm)
- 110 grams butter (room temperature)
- 300 grams caster sugar (1½ cups)
- 3 eggs
- 110 grams buttermilk (1/2 cup)
- 40 grams canola oil (1/4 cup)
- 3 Tbsp. sauce (fudge, see recipe above)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. instant coffee
- 155 grams cake flour (1 1/4 cups) - if you don’t have cake flour, substitute with 1 cup + 2 tablespoons plain flour + 2 tablespoons cornflour (155g total))
- 70 grams cocoa (good quality, 1/2 cup)
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 75 grams caster sugar (2/3 cup)
- 45 grams brown sugar (3 tablespoons tightly packed)
- 1 Tbsp. milk powder
- 1 Tbsp. corn powder (I couldn’t find any so used 2 teaspoons of cornflour - but if you can source corn powder that would be much better)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 56 grams melted butter (4 tablespoons)
- 40 grams cream (3 tablespoons)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 125 grams chopped pecans (or walnuts, or both, 3/4 cup)
- canola oil (splash, 1-3 tablespoons)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 60 grams feuilletine (or broken up wafer cookies, 3/4 cup, I used this type in chocolate http://shop.countdown.co.nz/Shop/ProductDetails?Stockcode=18307&name=homebrand-creme-wafers-vanilla)
- 113 grams butter (room temperature)
- 162 grams icing sugar (1 cup)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 20 grams cocoa powder (1/4 cup)
- 1 tsp. instant coffee (you can add more to taste)
- 2 Tbsp. full-fat milk
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 Tbsp. ovaltine (or other hot chocolate powder)
- 1 shot espresso

I was amazing!
However, this cake takes a lot of work and time. You'll have to buy ingredients that are sometimes hard to find and I had to go to several store to aquire them all.
My husbands 64th birthday was the special event and he loved it!
