- 1 lb. elbow macaroni (large)
- 1 stick butter
- salt
- 9 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 3 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Directions
- Heat the oven to 350*. Cook the pasta according to package directions.
- While the macaroni is boiling, melt the butter in the saucepan on medium heat. Add salt and pepper and the flour, stirring continuously. When thoroughly combined, slowly stir in the milk. Stir until it thickens, then turn off the heat.
- Drain the macaroni and pour into the casserole dish. Cover with sauce. Add one cup of the cheese and mix altogether. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
- Bake until the cheese has melted and the macaroni is hot.
