- 1 1/2 lb. ahi tuna (sustainably caught)
- 3 Tbsp. fresh orange juice
- 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp. white miso
- 1 Tbsp. black sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp. white sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp. coarsely ground black pepper
- 1/2 Tbsp. togarashi pepper (This can be found in the grocery. It is just a mix of different dried pepper, Japanese style.)
- 1 head romaine (washed and sliced)
- 1 cup purple cabbage (sliced thin, I use a mandoline.)
- 1/2 yellow pepper (sliced thin)
- 1 mango (sliced thin)
- 1 cucumber (sliced lengthwise so you have pretty ribbons)
- 1/2 cup green onions (chopped)
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup white miso
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. rice vinegar
- 2 tsp. honey (or to taste)
- 2 tsp. minced onion
- 1/2 tsp. wasabi (or dry mustard)

My father actually loved it! I made my own togarashi and grilled it on a George Forman grill - DON'T do more than 1.5 min, or it won't be med rare. Would definitely make this again. Mom didn't have a mandolin, so used a food processor. Also, subbed red pear for the mango, as I made it in winter.
