- 2 cups sprouts (moth bean, matki sprouts, or mixed bean sprouts - i used about 1 cup of moth beans to prepare the sprouts)
- 2 medium potatoes (small to, cubed)
- 1 medium onion (or large, finely chopped)
- 2 green chilies (hari mirch, chopped)
- 4 garlic (+ 1 inch ginger, - crushed in a mortar-pestle to a fine paste)
- 1 tsp. mustard seeds
- 1 tsp. cumin seeds
- 12 curry leaves
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. masala (goda, or kala masala)
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp. red chili powder
- 1 tsp. coriander powder
- 1 tsp. cumin powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. tamarind (soaked in ⅓ or ½ cup water or 2 to 3 kokums)
- 1 cup water (or add as required)
- 3 Tbsp. oil
- salt (as required)
- 10 bread slices (or pav, bread rolls, as required)
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes (finely, optional)
- 1 cup savory (thick sev or farsan, chiwda, fried, snack mixture)
- 1 lemon (or lime quartered or diced)
- 1/3 cup coriander leaves (chopped, dhania patta)
- 1/2 cup curd (fresh, or yogurt, beaten, optional)
