- 2 1/4 cups cake flour (plus more for dusting)
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter (cubed and at room temperature)
- 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder (plus 1 teaspoon)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder (baking)
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cayenne
- 1 pinch allspice
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/3 cup warm water
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp. olive oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter
- 3 cups powdered sugar (you might need a tablespoon or two more for the jamaica flavor, sifted)
- 1 tsp. milk (or heavy cream)
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 Tbsp. jamaica (reserved agua de, see above for recipe)
- 1/2 vanilla bean
- 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 2 oz. chocolate chips (semi-sweet, melted and cooled)
