- 1/4 cup besan (/gram flour)
- 4 garlic cloves (3-, finely chopped)
- 2 green chillies (1-, finely chopped)
- 1 piece ginger (an inch, grated)
- 1/4 tsp. asafoetida (/hing)
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder (/haldi)
- 1/2 tsp. coriander powder (/dhania powder)
- 1/2 tsp. jeera (/cumin powder)
- salt (to taste)
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 Tbsp. ghee
- 1/4 cup curd (/dahi)
- 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda (/eno)
- water (as required)
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 red chili (broken dry, deseeded)
- 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds (/rai)
- 2 green chili (1-, slit)
- 1 pinch asafoetida (/hing)
- 1 tsp. jeera powder (dhaniya+)
