Description
Mac and Cheese, casserole style, with a bit of a Maryland twist. Used shells instead of macaroni because the sauce is much more self contained in every bite.
Ingredients

- 1 box shells (large)
- 6 Tbsp. butter
- 4 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 cups 2% milk
- 3/4 cup light cream
- 1 cup light sour cream
- 16 oz. mac and cheese (shredded, blend)
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. onion powder
- 3/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. Old Bay Seasoning
- 1/4 cup green onions (chopped)

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Boil a pot of water and cook pasta shells to Al Dante firmness.
- Melt butter on medium heat in a medium-large saucepan. Then add flour slowly. Stir in milk and cream. Whisk until thick. Stir in sour cream until consistent. Slowly add 3 cups (12oz) of cheese blend while whisking. Mix until fairly consistent. Stir in salt, garlic and onion powder, 2/3 of the green onions, and 1/4 tsp Old Bay. Remove from heat.
